As part of TikTok’s U.S. Design Team, I created interactive AR Effects & in-app editing tools. These features inspired TikTok users worldwide to share their stories.
Editor Pro – Design lead
TikTok launched a new feature that allows users to add stylized type, animated text, & dynamic captioning to their videos.
Leading design-side production, I worked with designers, engineers, & product managers to support the development of this library of creator tools.
AR Effects production – Effect Creator
As an Effect Creator, I created AR Camera Effects for TikTok & TikTok LIVE.
I worked closely with product managers & content teams to shape creative concepts for TikTok’s audience. My cross-functional colleagues included illustrators, 3D artists, technical artists, UX designers, & game developers. Technical effect production included VFX, 2D/3D animation, & Effect House development.
Design Operations – Motion design lead
As a motion designer for TikTok’s U.S. Design Operations team, I led motion projects for TikTok Effect House promotional materials.
I created animated content for platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, & Discord, overseeing concept development, production planning, & delivery.
My focus was creating high-quality content for the Effect Creator community, most notably by bringing Effect House’s mascot Archi to life!
DM Stickers – Character animation
Working with TikTok’s incredible illustrators, I created animated stickers for our direct messaging feature. TikTok users can share them in DMs just like emojis. 😎
